This guide is designed to help the leader prepare for, organize, conduct and evaluate each activity in the Sunflower Plants Unit. The guide provides lesson plans for each activity, including the approximate amount of time each activity is likely to take, and also suggests extension and follow-up activities.

In addition, the leader’s guide contains worksheets that are used in conjunction with specific activities. The worksheets are designed to help students collect and organize data and should be duplicated by the leader/teacher for children. The leader’s guide also includes evaluation activities designed to assess what children have learned as a result of using Sunflower.
